2011 CFC GOLF OUTING - CLOSED 2011 CFC Golf Outing - Sponsored by GEICO - CFC Golf Event - Recap Even though the day was cold and rainy, the CFC Golf event was a success with 132 attendees! Held on September 23, 2011 at the beautiful Black Hawk Golf Course in Beaver Falls, golfers enjoyed morning coffee, snacks, favors and a hot buffet dinner with much needed hot chocolate. Golfers won various prizes including an autographed picture of Arnold Palmer, gift cards, golf supplies and more! Special thanks to George Buck and Ginette Simpson for their dedication to the golf event. George and Ginette graciously volunteered their time to make the golf event a success. Call Amy Ervin at 412-330-7667 On behalf of the 3 RIVERS/PENNSYLVANIA WEST COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN, I cordially invite all current and former Federal Employees, military personnel and their guests to our annual fall golf event, sponsored by GEICO. We are returning to the Black Hawk Golf Course in Beaver Falls, PA, the site of several successful outings. With morning coffee and pastry, lunch, soft drinks, bottled water, draft beer, favors and a hot buffet, followed by lots of prizes, you still can’t beat the deal. While we try to promote a sense of community among the government work force and military, and to boost the awareness of the CFC, we do this by having a low-key, fun day. This is NOT a traditional fund raiser, although we do have a few small events benefiting the participating charities, and a very short program related to the campaign. PLEASE KNOW THAT THE ENRTY FEE COVERS GOLF, CART, SNACKS, LUNCH, HOT DINNER, DRINKS AND DOES NOT GO TOWARDS CFC OR ACT AS A DONATION. Since last year’s outing was such a success, we will keep the four player scramble format. We will still have a handicapping and flight system so that you will be playing against teams of similar ability, and everyone will have a chance to win. Last year the scramble seemed to speed up play and avoid delay recording scores and awarding prizes. We encourage everyone to form a foursome, but we will form teams from other entries if you cannot. Please complete the registration form (Download the Registration) and submit payment to the Federal Executive Board, Moorhead Federal Building, 1000 Liberty Ave., Room 1303, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 by September 1st. If it comes down to the wire for spots, paid entries will be honored before any entries sent without payment. The first name on the form will be the primary contact. Please tell your group to arrive no later than 8:30 AM. Directions are on the course’s website at www.blackhawkgolfcourse.com While we may get cooperation from the course regarding late additions, substitutions and cancellations, we cannot guarantee entry after the deadline (or if we get filled up before September 1) so don’t put it off - enter right away!
